Day one: Airport pick-up by a Countryside Tours guide and hotel transfer for an overnight stay in Kigali city.

Day two: A full-day Kigali City Sightseeing and overnight stay in Kigali city.

Day three:

Hotel check-out, transfer to Musanze town in the Northern province where the Volcanoes National Park with its golden monkeys are found.



In the afternoon, Mukungwa river canoeing and overnight stay in Musanze town.

Day four:

Visit the golden monkeys in the Volcanoes National Park.

Visit Iby’Iwacu cultural centre (Now called Gorilla guardians village)
Head to Gisenyi, North Western province for overnight stay.
​Day five:
Hotel check-out, visit Pfunda tea plantation along the way, transfer to Kivu lake in Kibuye
Guided boat ride to the islands in Kivu Lake, Karongi (Previously Kibuye) in the Western province and overnight stay in Kibuye.
Day six:
Hotel check-out and head to Rusizi, South-Western province
Boat ride by the villagers to Nkombo island and village walk on the island. The island population mainly lives on isambaza fishing and isambaza is fished during the night. ​
From 17h30 in the evening, with the local fishermen on three inter-connected fishing boats, explore the night fishing experience.
Day seven:
Hotel check-out and explore the traditional isambaza fish market.
Head for the canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park and overnight stay in Rusizi town or Nyungwe.
Day eight:
Wake-up early to visit the chimpanzees in Nyungwe National park

If time allows, visit Cyamudongo Tourism Promotion cooperative, a local community for welcome, traditional dance and drumming,

Head back to Kigali city and overnight stay.

​Day nine: Hotel check-out and airport transfer.
