Day 1: Nyungwe Canopy and Night Fishing in Kivu Lake

Take an early breakfast to leave Kigali by 06h00 and drive for estimated 5.5 hours to Nyungwe National Park. Once there, order lunch, register for the canopy and eat lunch before heading for the canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park, approx. 1.5 hours.

Afternoon and evening: After the canopy, depart to Rusizi and drive for 1 hour approx, hotel check-in and dinner at arrival. By 17h30, be at Ku Bagore for the three-hour long night fishing experience and come back from night fishing by 21h30 and head to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Explore the traditional fish market, take a guided boat ride to Nkombo island

Have your breakfast and check-out of the hotel by 09h00. Our guide will pick you up to go and explore the traditional Isambaza fish market. With the locals, you will go on a guided boat trip in Kivu, disembark the boat and experience a short village walk in Nkombo (if the weather allows). Mud-resistant footwear is recommended both for the fish market and Nkombo island village walk. Returning back from Nkombo island, you will have lunch and then head back to Kigali through Karongi and Rubengera towns to arrive in Kigali 20h30 approx.
