Overview

As you exit Kigali city looking forward to the Ruhondo Lake and Golden Monkey Adventure, you pass through the rural part of Kigali city and the Northern province enjoying the revitalising views of the hills, valleys and landscapes of our Country of a Thousand Hills, Rwanda. Also, the experience gives an exposure to Musanze town along the way.

Timing is for guidance and may slightly vary along the tour:

Day one 06h00: Pick-up in Kigali city by a Countryside Tours guide and departure and drive for 3.5 hours estimate.

Boat trip in Ruhondo lake

Lunch in Ruhondo

Afternoon and evening: Transfer in the afternoon and check-in the hotel where dinner is taken and overnight stay is spent.

Day two 06h00: Early breakfast, leave Musanze by 06h15 to be at RDB Kinigi Tourist information centre for registration and 07h00 Golden monkeys trekking

From the golden monkeys, enjoy Iby’iwacu cultural centre (Now called Gorilla guardians village-1.5 hours)

Lunch and head back to Kigali to arrive around 18h00

End of tour, debriefing and drop-off.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in a deluxe studio apartment on the second floor. The decor was really lovely and modern and, as always, the kitchen and bathroom were immaculate. The apartments are in a really lovely location and very handy for Kings Road, Sloane Square and the underground is only a five minute walk away. There is also a bus right outside the door which goes to the Royal Albert Hall. It is also so handy for the wonderful Michelin restaurant Five Fields just around the corner. The staff could not have been more helpful and were efficient and friendly. We would definitely recommend staying here - we are strong critics - and look forward to our next visit. Less

I stayed over night at the Chelsea apartments on Christmas Eve and it was fantastic. Such a lovely spot, just off the Kings Road, with all the Christmas lights and last minute shopping. The apartment was perfect - a large studio with plenty of space and a great kitchen where we were able to make a tasty brunch before heading off (small welcome pack was provided). Perfect location We stayed at 41 Draycott Place in March 2017 for one week. We absolutely loved the location - walking distance to King's Road and Sloane Square station - We had a one bedroom flat (3) on the third floor for our family of three. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The shower stall was a little bit on the small size though. Heated towel rack in the bathroom was a nice feature. No lift in the building so you need to drag your suitcases up the stairs. Overall a very pleasant stay and we would definitely stay at Draycott place again! Good value for money. Less
