2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trek & Mt Bisoke Hike

Very early in the morning at 5:00, your driver-guide will pick you from Kigali airport or your hotel and transfer to Volcanoes National park. Join a briefing for Bisoke hiking and with your packed lunch drive to Bisoke trailhead to start off the hiking. Hiking to the summit of Mt Bisoke takes roughly 4 hours and 2 hours descending. The summit offers you exceptional views of Volcanoes National park, Virunga volcanoes, and Rwanda local villages. Overnight stay at Davinci Gorilla Lodge (Deluxe), Tiloreza Volcanoes Eco Lodge (Luxury), Muhabura Hotel (Budget).

After a cup of coffee, get your packed lunch and transfer to the national park headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations of mountain gorilla trekking. You will be served with a cup of coffee and entertainment by traditional dancers during the briefing. Also, you will put in groups of eight and allocated a gorilla family to visit that day. Hiking to meet gorilla’s starts at 8:00 am and it may take 2-6 hours depending on where gorillas are located that day. After meeting gorillas, spend an hour with the endangered species, embrace their human-like behaviors, take pictures and have fun with them. Hike back and drive to Kigali for your return flight.
