Description

This eight-day private luxury safari takes you through Samburu in northern Kenya's frontier region, then via the Great Rift Valley and the Masai Mara, which is home to the Big Five. Rare species that can survive the harsh, desert environment, such the Somali ostrich and the reticulated giraffe, can be found in the Samburu Game Reserve.

The 8 Days Kenya Safari Itinerary offers amazing animal watching and recreation in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Samburu National Reserve , and Lake Nakuru. It is a wonderful 7 nights 8 days Kenya safari package.

Your 8 Days Kenya Safari tour begins with a picturesque drive from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve, passing Mount Kenya (5,199m), Africa's second-highest summit. Explore this magnificent wilderness on game drives to see the rare Samburu Special 5 (Gerenuk, Grevy's Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Beisa Oryx, and Reticulated Giraffe), which are well recognized for frequent sightings of lion, Cheetah, and leopard. Next, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park through Africa's captivating Great Rift Valley. The park has an abundance of birds and good populations of large mammals in a small area, so it is possible to see rare Rothschild Giraffes, Black Rhinos, and Buffalo with certainty.

One of Africa's premier wildlife areas and the last stop on this 8-day Kenya safari itinerary is Masai Mara. It is the stuff of safari fantasies, home to the Great Wildebeest Migration and some of Africa's most productive lion prides. Before making the drive back to Nairobi, you'll experience exhilarating game drives and stop at a nearby town to learn more about the intriguing Maasai culture.

Eat breakfast first thing in the morning, then leave early for Samburu National Reserve. We'll cross the equator and pass through the lower reaches of Mount Kenya on the picturesque trip. The area where the equator line crosses through will be the site of our first significant rest stopovers. This is a fantastic chance to take pictures and share them with family and friends back home. We plan to arrive at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge for a late lunch. After lunch, you'll go on a game drive to look for locally locally present wildlife species including the blue-necked Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, Grevy's zebra, and reticulated giraffe, all of which are uncommon elsewhere in the nation.

Explore Samburu National Park

You have a full day in Samburu today, including early morning and late afternoon game drives to look for the elusive "Special Five" or "Northern Five," which can only be found in this area north of the equator. The Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich, Gerenuk, and crocodiles in the Ewaso Nyiro River are considered to be the "Special Five." Additionally, the sanctuaries are home to over 365 different bird species. The lion, leopard, and cheetah are among the big cats that live in the reserve. It will be interesting to see that the elephants in Samburu have a distinctive reddish color due to dust bathing in the region's distinctive red soil. Did you also know that the best place to view stars is under the Samburu skies? An authentic Samburu village must be visited as part of any Samburu tour. There is no additional cost for the visit.

Samburu To OL Pejeta Conservancy

Early morning game drives to Ol Pejeta Conservancy , the largest black rhino reserve in East Africa and home to two of the last northern white rhinos in the world, are followed by breakfast in Samburu. At the age of 45, Sudan passed away around March 2018. He had a number of infections and was unable to stand. His grandchild Fatu and daughter Najin are his only heirs. In 2014, Suni, Sudan's friend, passed away. In 2009, they had been moved from a zoo in the Czech Republic. We get there just in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, which is inside a conservancy and overlooks a watering hole where some wildlife congregates to quench their thirst. Afternoon Game Drive excursion to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, where we can see Baraka the Black Rhino and learn about their livelihood.

The flamingos and more than 400 other bird species that may be spotted at Lake Nakuru are what give the area its notoriety. The lake is a soda lake that lies at the bottom of the rift valley. Millions of flamingos in one place makes for an amazing sight. The lake appears pink-ringed from a distance. The Rothschild's giraffe and the black and white rhino are two examples of the several endangered animals for which it has developed a reputation as a vital safe haven. There are also lions, waterbuck, buffalo, and baboons living here.

It is certain to be breathtaking as we travel through the Great Rift Valley, something that runs from Syria to Mozambique. We plan to go to Sarova Mara Game Camp in plenty of time for lunch. The opulent camp is close to the Mara River and is regarded as the ideal spot for observing wildlife. At 4 pm, the renowned Masai Mara will host its first game drive. There are many different species of antelope to see, as well as lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, wildebeest, zebras, plains game, black rhinos, and giraffes. There are more than 450 distinct species of birds in the area. In the Mara, there is no shortage of excitement and pleasant wildlife discoveries. Don't forget to take in and photograph the Masai Mara's unique and mesmerizing evening sunset.

Tour Masai Mara National Park

Spend the entire day scouting around Masai Mara for the Big Five. An optional balloon safari is also available for an additional $450 USD per person. It is hard to realize how diverse and plentiful the wildlife is in the Mara. Here, 450 or more different animal species have been identified. Many different antelope species, including lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, and wild dogs, will be easy to spot. The big migration, arguably the most beautiful spectacle in all of nature, occurs in the Mara. This is the yearly movement of millions of wildebeest and zebra out of Tanzania's Serengeti in search of grass and water. The savanna's predators, including lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures, are hot on their trail.
