The 14 days Uganda and Rwanda tour starts in Entebbe/Kampala Uganda. You will begin by visiting the Murchison falls national park with a stop at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. While at Murchison Falls, you will go for a game drive and launch cruise at the bottom of the falls. From Murchison Falls, you will continue to Kibale National Park where you will take part in chimpanzee trekking and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The main activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park are a boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel and a standard game drive in the morning. You will also go for a special game drive to see the tree climbing lions of Ishasha before transferring to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi has the highest number of mountain gorillas in Africa. After tracking the gorillas, you will visit the Batwa pygmies for an amazing cultural encounter. From Bwindi, you will take a break and go to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation, nature walks, canoeing, birding and island hopping. After your time in Lake Bunyonyi, you would have rested enough and ready for Rwanda.
On day 10 of the trip, you will transfer from Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda to the Volcanoes National Park where you will get involved in a second gorilla trekking experience. This second gorilla trekking opportunity will allow you observe/compare differences in group composition and behavior. After gorilla trekking, the driver will take you to visit the Gorilla Guardians Village (formerly known as Iby’iwacu Cultural Village). The next day will be reserved for golden monkey trekking and visiting the twin lakes (Burera and Ruhondo). From the Volcanoes National Park, you will go for relaxation, swimming, canoeing and island hopping in Lake Kivu.
