After the partnership of Visit Rwanda and the European football clubs: The French giant Paris Saint Germain, and the English Arsenal. Rwanda has entered another sponsorship deal with another mega European Football club, putting interests in the Germany Bundesliga, where a partnership has been entered into by Visit Rwanda and FC Bayern Munich, one of the biggest football clubs in the world.

During a press conference that was held on March 1^st, President Paul Kagame said that Rwanda should consider entering a new partnership with another European football club because the first two sponsorship deals with Arsenal and PSG had paid off, but did not specify which club or country.

It was seen that unlike the first two sponsorship deals with Arsenal and PSG, which aimed on advertising the “Visit Rwanda” brand on their jersey, the latest partnership with FC Bayern Munich will mainly focus on football skills development. Under the signed deal, Visit Rwanda becomes a platinum partner of Bayern Munich Football Club.

It has been indicated that the FC Bayern Munich community will have a unique opportunity to experience Rwanda’s breath-taking beauty of its nature, culture, its creative environment and economic transformation, the partnership will convey Rwanda’s openness to welcome business partnerships from Germany and across the world.

The club will also work with Rwanda Ministry of Sports and the Football federation to support the development of the game and set up a football academy to strengthen the development of football in the country.

The partnership has been signed for five years until 2028, where the club will display Visit Rwanda branding on matchday LED boards at the Club’s 75,000- seater Allianz Arena, and different activities will be organized to promote tourism and investment opportunities in Rwanda.
